Born in Yiwu, 1975, Alice Chen currently lives and works in Shanghai and Paris. She graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1999. She is the founder of the Positive Art Research and initiator of the Project Terrace. Her creations include photography, painting and works on paper.

Shown in the exhibition of Post-sensibility, in Yunfeng Gallery, 1999, Chen entered the domestic experimental art circle in China. From November 1999 to December 2000, she had conducted the project of Twelve Flower Months. In 2018, She founded the platform of Positive Art Research as “Alice Chen”, to research, practice and promote the art that could progressively influent the human and society. In the early 2020, The Positive Art Research initiated the Project Terrace, to promote the art practice, research and communication.
