Born in Shenyang, 1982, Geng Yini still lives and works there. She graduated from Lu Xun Academy in Shenyang. From her paintings, it is difficult to determine the gender, nationality and other information of the artist. She obtains materials extensively from the Internet and presents her self-expression from an unusual perspective. Geng’s oil paintings are usually thick in color. Dotted lines, targets and other symbolic icons often appear in her works, just like the illustrations in instruction manuals, infusing various mixed elements together to arbitrarily interpret multiplicity with a relaxed attitude.
