Born in Shandong, 1983, Ju Ting currently lives and works in Beijing. She graduated from the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Her paintings expand the possibilities of the existing properties of acrylic paints. Oddities such as time and temperature changes cause the paints themselves to undergo qualitative changes, inspiring the artist to explore the relationship between the surface of the painting and the support behind it. By blurring the properties of paints and materials, Ju conducts a series of physical movements such as covering, folding, cutting, and impacting to explore the multiple states of solidified paint layers on the canvas, therefore, her creation is expressed as levels of power in terms of time, space and concepts.

Recent solo exhibitions include: “Dong! Dong! Winter is Coming” (Galerie Urs Meile, Beijing, 2021), “Scales” (Galerie Urs Meile, Beijing, 2019), “Onion” (OCTA Xi'an, 2017) and others.
