Shuang Li
李爽（1990 年生于武夷山）是一位视觉艺术家，其创作实践植根于全球传播系统之中，并受到不同地域语境与不均衡信息流动的启发。她的创作涵盖行为表演、互动网站、雕塑及影像装置等多种媒介，通过这些形式探究构成当代数字景观的各种媒介系统、支撑其运作的物质基础，以及更为重要的⸺潜藏于其间的裂隙。
李爽于 2014 年获得纽约大学媒体研究硕士学位，现工作和生活于柏林、日内瓦、上海与武夷山之间。

Shuang Li (b. 1990, Wuyi) is a visual artist whose practice is situated within global communication systems and inspired by diverse localities and uneven flows of information. Her work encompasses performance, interactive websites, sculpture, and moving image installations, through which she investigates the various media that shape the contemporary digital landscape, the material lives that support it, and more importantly, the cracks in between.
Li received her MA in Media Studies from New York University in 2014. She lives and works across Berlin, Geneva, Shanghai, and Wuyi.
Recent solo exhibitions include Alliance, Kunsthalle Basel, Basel (2026); Alliance, Kim Association, Singapore (2026); I’m Not, Aspen Art Museum, Aspen (2024); Distance of the Moon, Prada Rong Zhai, Shanghai (2024); I’m Not, Swiss Institute, New York (2024); Among Us, Cherish, Geneva (2021); and Exit Wound, Callie’s, Berlin (2020).
Her work has been featured in exhibitions at institutions including Tai Kwun Contemporary, Hong Kong (2025, 2022); Fondazione Prada, Milan (2023); Zuzeum Art Centre, Riga (2023); Berlinische Galerie, Berlin (2022); Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, Geneva (2021); X Museum, Beijing (2020); Times Museum, Guangzhou (2019); and Mao Jihong Arts Foundation, Chengdu, in collaboration with the Centre Pompidou, Paris (2018).
Recent biennial presentations include the 2024 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York (2024); Biennale de l’Image en Mouvement at the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, Switzerland (2024); Kunsthal Charlottenborg Biennale, Copenhagen (2023); and the 59th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia (2022). In 2022, Li also collaborated with Miuccia Prada on a special project for the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2023 fashion show.
Shuang Li’s first institutional solo exhibition in Europe, Alliance, is currently on view at Kunsthalle Basel through September 13, 2026.
