Wang Ximan (b. 1990, Shenyang) is a performance artist working actively between China and Europe. She holds an MFA from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. At the core of Wang’s practice is a spirit of resistance, through which she investigates issues of identity, gender fluidity, social inequality, and disability. Her live performances move across and beyond disciplinary boundaries, employing video, sound, and installation to question artistic form itself while examining the relationships between space, the body, and the audience.
